Fridge Door Seal - 995mm x 520mm
Important: Use the "Check this part fits your appliance" box above to make sure this product fits your appliance.
Fridge and freezer doors seals or gaskets are plastic (although often referred to as being rubber) gaskets with a magnetic strip inside them to seal the door of the fridge or freezer and prevent air ingress into the cooling area of the appliance.
When the door seal is faulty it will often appear to be split or cracked and allow air to seep into the fridge or freezer leading to extended running times and quite probably a build up of frost inside either a fridge or freezer.
A faulty fridge or freezer door seal should be replaced as quickly as possible as it will mean that the appliance runs for longer which, apart from costing you more money on electricity, can also stress the compressor leading to overheating and premature failure.
Since the mid-1980's many door seals, especially on cheaper fridges and freezers, use what is referred to in the trade as a "foamed door". That is that the door seal, the inner door and outer door are placed together and then the insulating foam injected into the door itself.
This dries and hardens holding the three together without any screws and, often, these are only supplied as complete assemblies, the door seal not being available separately.
Fridge and freezer door seals are very model specific and we cannot provide size information on most occasions.
This door seal is a genuine spare part made by the original manufacturer.
SafetyAlways unplug your appliance before beginning work and replacing any parts.
